How many accessible units does an event need?
The 2010 ADA Standards, section 213.2, call for at least 5 percent of portable toilets in each cluster, and no fewer than one, to be accessible. A cluster of 1 to 20 units needs one accessible unit. A cluster of 21 to 40 units needs two.
Read section 213.2 at the U.S. Access Board. Place the accessible unit on firm, level ground with a smooth path from parking and seating.
Who besides wheelchair users should get an accessible unit?
An accessible unit helps anyone who needs more room: guests with walkers, a caregiver helping someone inside, parents changing a toddler, and brides in full dresses. A cane or walker user can manage a standard unit, but the larger floor is easier and safer.

Is a handicap porta potty the same as an ADA porta potty?
People use both names for the same larger, wheelchair-accessible unit. “ADA-compliant” depends on the whole setup, not just the unit, so we use the manufacturer’s wording.
Does the accessible unit have a sink?
Our accessible units have a sanitizer dispenser. Add an accessible-height hand-wash station if needed.
Can I rent an accessible unit for a job site?
Accessible units rent monthly too, from $235 per 28 days with weekly service.
How much flat ground does it need?
