How many porta potties does a construction site need?

A construction site with 20 or fewer workers needs at least one toilet under OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 Table D-1. Above 20 workers, it needs one seat and one urinal per 40 workers. GearReady recommends one standard unit per 10 workers on a 40-hour week with weekly service.

What does weekly job site service include?

Weekly job site service includes pumping the holding tank, scrubbing the seat, urinal, walls and floor, recharging the deodorizer, restocking toilet paper and sanitizer, and refilling any hand-wash station. The tech also checks the door, latch and vent, and reports damage or tipping.

  • Service runs on a set weekday so your crew knows when to expect it.
  • Crews of 15 or more on one unit should add a second unit or a second weekly visit ($65).
  • Locked sites: give us the gate code or a contact so service is never missed.

How does construction billing work?

Construction porta potties bill every 28 days, starting on the delivery date, with weekly service included. The first invoice also carries a one-time $50 delivery charge. The rental renews automatically until you call or text for pickup, one business day before the cycle ends. There is no fee for ending early.

See every starting price on the cost guide, and why short jobs still use a 28-day cycle in 28-day billing explained.

Where should a job site porta potty go?

Put a job site porta potty on level, firm ground within about 25 feet of where the service truck parks, away from the dumpster swing path and overhead work. Keep it out of the street unless you hold a permit; Transit Road and other state routes need a NYSDOT highway work permit.

Can you deliver a job site toilet today?

Same-day delivery is open across Niagara and northern Erie counties when you call by 11 a.m., Monday to Saturday.

Do I need a toilet on site before inspection?

Many inspectors and general contractors expect a toilet once work starts. OSHA requires one for every employer with workers on site. Check your GC’s site rules.

Can I reduce service to every other week?

For one or two workers, every-other-week service is possible at a lower rate. Most crews need weekly service to control odor and stay compliant.

Can you add a lock or a hasp?

We fit a padlock hasp at no charge. Give us a key or combination for service days.

Can you move the unit as the job moves?

We relocate units on the same site or between your lots for a small move charge.

Do you invoice contractors?

Approved contractor accounts can pay by invoice. New accounts start with a card on file.
